One of the main concerns of the fruit growers is the protection of their orchards from spring frosts. One successful approach is to use the temperature inversion by installing wind machines. INEX AGRO Ltd. was the first company in Bulgaria to install this equipment.
The principle on which wind machines work is “pushing down” the warmer air. In this way warm air gets closer to the tree foliage and prevents blossoms and small fruit from damage when there is spring frost.
The wind machines installed by INEX AGRO are of American origin and are very popular in the Nappa Valley (California, USA). They are an effective way of coping with the radiation spring frosts that are characteristic for many places in Bulgaria.
